NOW Bookcasting: Transylvanian Mission By Lavie Tidhar
Welcome to this uvula audio presentation of the Lavie Tidhar novelette Transylvanian Mission. The award-winning author Tidhar wrote this novelette for his science fiction anthology Hebrew Punk. The story is a sort of twisted world war II adventure tale, ala Indiana Jones, if Professor Jones was Jewish and immortal. The protagonist of the story is Rat who is a Jewish vampire. He and his band of partisans are pitted against a band of Nazi werewolves searching for the legendary Vlad the Impaler in the hopes of enlisting his help in their war. I could certainly give more details to this description, but I will let you discover just how awesome it is for yourself. This narration was originally broadcast to the world at large by the well-known SF podcast Star Ship Sofa (http://www.starshipsofa.com) on May 26, 2009. We present the story here for archival purposes and to make it more widely available to the public to enjoy.
